UI Design / Figma Design System

Prealze / Website + Design System

The Brief:

This project came with a unique set of constraints. The client—an international airport—needed to spotlight their parking reservation system, a core part of their business model, while working within the limits of an existing site structure and WordPress CMS. A full redesign wasn’t possible, so we focused on improving key areas without disrupting the whole. At the center was a compact, multifunctional component that needed to handle a lot: flight times, parking info, and reservations—all in a small, flexible space that could expand as needed. The goal was to introduce a softer, more approachable design language without losing utility.

Iterations

The biggest challenge was guiding the team through UX thinking to ensure functionality and clarity stayed at the forefront. We worked closely with the client to find the right balance between features and usability, eventually consolidating key information—arrivals, departures, and parking—into one streamlined module. We also had to implement a temporary hero carousel that integrated with their existing CMS, which posed several design and layout limitations but was necessary for their internal workflow.

Prototyping

With changing priorities and shifting direction over time, we built a fully interactive Figma prototype to test and present new ideas. This gave the client a clear, hands-on way to understand how each version would function and adapt in real-time. It also helped build alignment by showing, rather than telling, which ideas worked and which didn’t—allowing for more informed, design-driven decisions.

Outcome

Despite a fragmented process and several technical constraints, the final product delivered on its goals. The redesigned interface fit seamlessly into their CMS, adapted well across devices, and made essential features like parking reservations far more accessible. The project was a valuable exercise in working within limitations—proving that thoughtful design and solid UX decisions can still thrive under less-than-ideal conditions.z
